Anyone successfully used the vhost package on SuSE?

Has anyone successfully used the vhost package from http://www.chaogic.com/vhost/ on SuSE? I see that it "requires" linuxconf. Is there a SuSEified version of Linuxconf? I would be interested in SuSE supporting this package - perhaps they could provide an interface to YaST modules in place of linuxconf, or something even more generic for distros that have neither YaST nor Linuxconf.
