Yes. Several years ago. In android studio. Had no problems although it was a bit slow at the time. They are specifically talking about android studio.

Some stuff take longer than the plan was.... finally i managed to install android studio, putting the https://calyxos.org/ system on it. on a pixel 8 pro (without the google stuff) install there threema (from fdroid) install on the same computer threema desktop, and now i am able to use threema on my desktop without using a cellular-phone. 2 things are not completely optimal: a) android studio is huge, a smaller emulator (or using the files created from android emulator directly with qemu) would be great. (android studio uses qemu, so i think it should be possible) b) the transfer of files from the virtual phone to the computer is only possible with android studio, i think it should be also possible from the desktop maybe with kde-connect, but that's another project :-((( if somebody is interested in a small howto, i could write down here my steps i have done. simoN -- www.becherer.de
