Thanks for the cautionary information.
1) But that does not mean by default those packages are available for download or in what situation they are.
2) the average user would need to install osc and bunch of other required packages
Not a drawback unless limited on space.
3) that does not provide a 1 click install ( not that I am fond of it but some like it)
Yes - I like it. Webpin never provided a 1-click and it was a fantastic index.
Therefore to me still the best option is to use software.opensuse.org and use the search options if one is desperate for a package
I find the search on software.opensuse.org very limited. Many times I have searched for a package and turned up no results only to have a listmember provide the link to the OBS project that already contains the rpms needed. -- David C.
