I've spent quite a bit of time hunting for anything that says Linux will support dual monitors under XFree86. Surely Win98 can't have a feature that Linux does not?
If you are willing to pay for it - yes. There are commercial X-Servers which support multi-headed operation. XFree86 4.0 will also include support for more than one video card. I've already seen it running with three cards (Elsa Glora Vivo in combination with LCD displays - yummy!). Very neat... You can even have different window managers for each display.
