Hello,
I use VNC to access a remote server
my local machine as well as the server are 12.1, that is UTF8. I'm french, so use AZERTY french keyboard (selected on the two machines)
when I log on the server, I get a special keyboard. some googling seems to say it's because VNC do not allow UTF8
it's specially annoying because some keys are odd (m is ; and there is no ":" - bad for vi!)
do you know any way to fix this? no problem with ssh
thanks jdd
I'm familiar with the problem (Italian keyboard here) but don't have a quick solution I'm afraid. If you're running openSUSE on both machines, could you tunnel an X session through ssh? *http://vanemery.com/Linux/XoverSSH/X-over-SSH2.html* K. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
