Great, thanks. Now that I think of it, I boot from my PCI-E SCSI controller all the time (though this will be a new motherboard, I'd be shocked, appalled and returning it if it couldn't boot from those devices). I shouldn't have really thought SSD was such a horse-of-another-color from a system integration perspective. Anyway, some further research is leading me toward an Intel SSD anyway and as far as I know, they don't do PCI-E boards for their SSD devices.
