My initial post was about how to get working a modem in openSuSE10.2. I see that now the topic has changed. However, in my case I am not able to connect to modem with minicom.
What error does it give?
In Yast, hardware information, the modem seems to be correctly recognized: SGS Thomson Microelectronics. When I try to connect with kppp I get the message: "modem is busy". Any suggestions how can I solve this problem?
Sounds famimiliar, but never happened to me, so I don't know. We have to determine if "busy" refers to the phone line (it thinks it is busy) or to the device. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
