What does mean "my password fails". That means you login and it gets all black screen with only the cursor or you stay at the login of sddm? I input the password in the graphical interface, the screen flashes and returns with the graphical interface asking for the password.
Hold down the delete key before you enter the password, just in case there is some non-displaying character in the password field. Try to select the entire field and hit backspace. Then enter the password. Double check your CapsLock key. If it still logs in correctly in a terminal, you can rest assured that the password is correct. However, I'm still guessing its a nvidia driver, which is crashing when you try to try to log in. On a new machine, with a late model Nvidia card you probably DO NEED the proprietary driver. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
