I don't understand why some people are pushing on SuSE to roll the next release out. Do you lack some bleeding edge feature? Who prevents you from downloading the sources and compiling the package yourself?
Ain't it strange to demand somebody to do something and offering nothing in exchange?
That's a good point, especially with as good as SuSE has gotten as of late. I'm in absolutely no hurry for another release. Perhaps they could move down to just one release a year, plus perhaps a quarterly CD that had the updates for the current version (so that it would be possible to get a hard copy rather than just off FTP). Hey, that would save money on both ends, and wouldn't waste so much extra paper either. :-) It would also increase corporate acceptance (IMO) since the release cycle would be slower. Another option I would like to see is a FTP purchasing system - were you could buy these "update" CD's every quarter and burn 'em. -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
