How many partitions can i create during SUSE installation? Until now i can create only 4.
Linux supports a variety of partition table types, but defaults to Micro$oft style partition tables. In Microsoft partition scheme upto four primary partitions can be created, one of which can be an extended partition. Traditionally Micro$oft supports only 4 logical partitions in the extended partition. Linux extends this scheme slightly by allowing more than 4 logical partitions to be created in the extended partition. On SCSI hardware u could create upto 15 partitions per drive, while on IDE it is 63 partitions that linux can create. Sethu Bhuvan Global Challenges
