............<snip>...........................Give wvdial a whirl. You can execute it as root using 'wvdial.tcl'. This worked great for me.
Many thanks to all who tried to help,Basil,Sylvanus,& zentara, especially Ben and tabanna who put me on the right track for resolv.conf Mine was empty. Hand edited and put in my servers. Finally!! I have a working internet connection in Suse 8. Just don't know what some of us would do without this list. I know many wouldn't be running Suse. Thank You All ! Uhhhh.. Do I dare run SuSEconfig ???? Will it undo all of my handwork?? And if it does, what do I do in the future for apps that Yast installs? Ben, You suggested that I set up WVdial. Also tried that before I went to Kppp. Won't work.
