Hi, I tried to use LibreOffice to open a .doc file for a friend of mine so he could fill it out for a job app. However, it won't open up in LO Writer (LibreOffice 3.5:build-413) correctly on Opensuse 12.1 or 12.2 on three different computers.
Specifically, it doesn't provide a correct graphic display of the document. Also, it doesn't allow anyone to type in information in the appropriate blocks.
I have linked three screenshots on this email to illustrate what is happening.

-Skymark 1 shows the document as it should display correctly, and allows information to be typed into appropriate blocks. This was opened up with Softmaker Textmaker program.

-Skymark 2 shows the document opened with LibreOffice Writer. One may see that there is a superimposed block on the top of the second page on the right, placed in the wrong position on the document. LO won't allow the cursor to be placed in any block to type information into the application.

-Skymark 3 shows that LO has invented a second blank page for the document, which doesn't show up in any other word processing program (Textmaker, MS Word). I have scrolled down to near the bottom of the first page to show the blank second page residing under the first.
Perhaps someone knows how to rectify this situation and set LO to working correctly.
I hope that no one is offended by Rocky and Bullwinkle. They were just having a little fun.
Please file a bug and attach the screenshots and the original file so that the openSUSE LibreOffice developers can look into it and fix it.
