Xfce definitely exists in 42.3, I used it two days ago but I did a zypper dup from 42.2, maybe it's under custom.
Thanks, I found xfce under custom, I clicked and I get a set of 10 patterns:
XFCE Fonts X Window System Multimedia Graphics Base System Enhanced Base System AppArmor Yast System Administration Software Maintenance
There appears to be no 64 bit support, no support for 32 bit software, no console support, no networking, and no documentation. This is not as good as 42.2. The change is just making work to no advantage.
There are a lot of patterns. You can see one "64 bit", for starters. linux-vsyq:~ # zypper se -t pattern Retrieving repository 'openSUSE-Leap-42.3-Update' metadata ....................................................................[done] Building repository 'openSUSE-Leap-42.3-Update' cache .........................................................................[done] Loading repository data... I do not see why the Xfce button should be removed from the User Interface page. What was the problem? Could we have the xfce button back as it was in 42.2, and with the original set of patterns?
I guess not. :-( -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
