Is there a step-by-step instruction as to how to connect my system to NIST or some such clock to set my machine's clock periodically? I understand that somewhere on my HD is an application to be used for that purpose. Which?

Unless you want to delve into ntp which will update your clock every few minutes, the best solution might be to run a cron job a couple of times a day with: ntpdate time-b.nist.gov A better server to use for the above is north-america.pool.ntp.org but it doesn't appear to be working at the moment. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
