SuSE 10.0 problem with ifplugd

It seems that, for whatever reason, ifplugd is NOT being started when I boot my laptop. If I issue /etc/init.d/network restart (rcnetwork restart) then ifplugd will start and things work properly. Does anybody know what might be wrong? Should I file a bug? This is SUSE 10.0 OSS - the boxed version should be at my doorstep tomorrow. -- Carpe diem - Seize the day.
