Did you run any install/setup scripts for any window managers ? When I installed the XFCE package and ran the setup cript , the same thing happend. I went back and ran the remove_xfce scrippt and every thing returned to normal. I was then able to pick and choos what window manager to use including XFCE. I then installed the xfce rpm on another box , and it came up on the log on list with out runing the retup script , Looks like yast2 takes care of everything for you. Dear Readers-
When I login as root and select kde2 from the pulldown menu of the login window, gnome is launched instead. I can login as a user in kde2 and I can login as root in kde but not kde2. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.
