That route voids support that comes with the boxed set though. -----Original Message----- From: Roberto Gaiser [mailto:gaiser@geekbunker.org] Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2001 10:05 AM To: suse-linux-e Subject: RE: [SLE] 7.3 Install. you just need to compile the kernel to support old-style ipchains i think no big deal

Please tell me it isn't so :-( I was just about to head to CompUSA and pick up a copy. This would be bad as my firewall is combo of ipchains/snort/etc.

Ok, boys and ghouls. :) 'Just did a 7.3 upgrade on this Dell 1G P-III workstation, with TNT Riva chipset, etc. It went VERY smoothly, and so far, I find only 1 problem, which I'm NOT happy about. On bootup I find that the new kernel won't support ipchains!! Out firewall on the "old" box is done with ipchains, and I really DON'T want to have to mess with all that again!
