Now the same thing happens Oszkó Albert talks about; i can not login to a standard session. The screen to enter password appears infinitely, and i am forced to use safe mode.
Make sure you select the Plasma Desktop session in the login screen.
This is true. But should not need to, as the previous use, (before the update) was also KDE... Plasma desktop is an entrance that was not there before... I think this must be confusing to anybody.... Or am i using the 12.2 inlogscreen now?
This was more of a known "ooops" after a major update to KDE4 than anything. The name changed from one to the other and if you left it at the default "KDE" you got kicked back out to the login screen I wouldn't consider it a normal thing... just a side effect of the massive churn and evolution of KDE4.
