Hi all,
found worrying messages on my 12.2 machine (xen virtualization host)
Message from syslogd@orion at Dec 19 02:52:43 ... kernel:[2007240.163823] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s!
Does this server happen to use the "tg3" network interface driver?
There is an open bugreport this "soft lockup", but bugzilla is down atm.
There are a few open tickets on "soft lockup", but this is the one I opened a while ago:

Hi Per, inetresting reading ;( Yes it certainly looks the same, But in contrast to your issue, i can not re-produce it at will. And in my case, it happened in the middle of the night, with only an single dom-U (xp) active. So the load was neglectible. If i had not seen that many "simular situations" i would contribute it to hardware that might show signs of old age. If it happens again, i 'll have a serious discussion between me, myself and i, what to do. As 12.2 is about End-Of-Life, i might switch to sles11sp3....
