Hi all,
I used to have a daemon (or was it a cronjob?) that made my linuxbox connect to a special site on the internet once in a while (everyday i think) and adjust it's time. I've lost it somehow and I can't find it anymore. I don't think it was xntp, but maybe it was. Where do I have to look?
thanx,
Hi Jeroen, I syncronise my time every time I go online. (got a cron job running that will fetch mail after 4 housr of silence) This runs for quite a while now without trouble: I put the following in my /etc/ppp/ip-up script (for ip-up) #Timeserver der RWTH Aachen /usr/sbin/netdate -v 137.226.144.3 137.226.112.21 /sbin/clock -wu this fetches the time and sets the hw clock. My hwclock runs on GMT, daylight saving disabled. Can't say more, it's one of the many tips I collected myself.
