I have just installed SuSE 6.2 and after all of my trial and error, I have finally gotten one distribution to actually connect to the internet(hip hip hurray).
I can surf the net but it seems that I can not get any of my email. I have tried to using several email packages and the only error that I am receiving is (off the top of my head) "host not found on open server". I can be more exact when I get home.
I have 3 email PoP's that I am using and I would like to collect all of the mail from those systems. I was hoping that I would be able to download them all to my system.
Hi. I'd check out fetchmail. You can run it from cron or as a daemon, and it'll collect your mail from your POP3 boxes and feed them into your local mailbox, where they can be read by most mail programs (pine, elm, mutt, etc.). fetchmail is part of the package 'pop' in the 'n' (Network Support) category on the SuSE cdrom set.
