That very much depends on the backbuffer switching type. That might have changed, so it's no real indicator.

This definitely is an issue NVIDIA should look into. Tux racing needs as little graphics as possible in a 3d game, so it should run smooth on *any* graphics hardware.
The problem is that the symptoms I got this early morning are different from what I was getting when I reported initially. Something has changed.
