Hi Hans, I did this same procedure a few weeks ago, and this is how I remember it: First you create the md1, and there is no need to format it. Then back in the partitions _main_ menu, you choose LVM, and add md1 to a volume group. (system, for example) Then you create lvm logical volumes, and format _those_.
