Update from 9.3 working?
That's a joke, right?
Why? 9.3 and beta-10 shouldn't be that far off. Even Fedoras updates work these days (roughly, but anyway - and that's all i'm asking).
Who in their right mind would do an update to beta software unless they were applying it to a 9.3 installation that they were willing to sacrifice
I for one have such install. 9.3's kernel hasn't worked single day for me :/. 10.0 just might, based on the fact that i'm running same mainline kernel variant and that seems to be ~ok.
to for the purpose of evaluating and debugging the upgrade process itself?
That would be another reason, yes.
Updates are ill-advised enough from production release to production release. Introducing a beta into the mix is for masochists only.
No worries. No harm done if it breaks small things - would be an improvement if the kernel initializes without hanging :) That said, have to download it and try the kernel first. -- // Janne
