Well, I hit freshmeat at least twice a day, but I really like Woven Goods For Linux, which is where I've found a lot of the apps I use. Here are some urls: Woven Goods For Linux <A HREF="http://www.fokus.gmd.de/linux/</A">http://www.fokus.gmd.de/linux/</A> Ump and Timidity libs for Ump <A HREF="http://pubweb.bnl.gov/people/hoff/</A">http://pubweb.bnl.gov/people/hoff/</A> Xmftp <A HREF="http://www.magg.net/~kaos/html/xmftp.html</A">http://www.magg.net/~kaos/html/xmftp.html</A> And of course, mpegtv.so and xanim.so require that you have mpegtv and xanim installed. I don't think the xanim sources on the SuSE cds have the objects that enable cinepak and indeo support, so here is the url for the xanim page: <A HREF="http://xanim.va.pubnix.com/home.html</A">http://xanim.va.pubnix.com/home.html</A> Xanim is a case where reading the documentation pays off. You must edit the Makefile to get the proper vid support and audio, but I have used xanim for some time, and the new quicktime3 format is the only thing I found that it won't play. It also does .wav and .fli as well as .avi, .mov, .mpg (mpegtv is MUCH better for mpeg though) and probably others. I can't remember where I got mpegtv.so and xanim.so from, so if you have the app installed but can't find the .so for netscape, email me and I will send you gzipped versions for libc5. J. Sounds like a good list of items to me. So, where would I find these now?
