This is marginally off-topic, so I'd be happy to take any responses off-list (unless others are interested as well). When my wife's computer's hard disk drive self-destructed, I suggested that she might want to give Linux a try, instead of replacing the Vista that her machine came with. So I installed openSuSE 11.0, with KDE 3.5, and she's been fairly pleased with it. She's not at all technical, but she's been a good sport about learning new ways to do things. It helps that MOST of what she uses a computer for are email and browsing, and Thunderbird/Firefox aren't all that different in operation from the Vista clients she's already accustomed to. The deal-breaker may be if I can't find a way for her to copy snapshots from her Motorola Razr V3 to her computer, though. I've followed up on what seemed to be promising leads, but I've never gotten anything to work. It's been an immensely popular phone over the years, however. I'm hoping that someone here has found the answer, and will share. We don't need any additional features -- like sync'ing with an address book -- we just want her to be able to copy the pictures from her phone to her computer.
