Seems like an awful lot of hassle compared to a single line of MAILTO=. I'm all for systemd, I even find it elegant, but what you're suggesting is for contortionists.
OK so I'm contortionist. I don't like noise. I don't want all that mail. In particular I don't want mail when things I know I've tested & debugged are wrong the way they should. I only want to know about them if they fail. Stuff I'm debugging I want to know that its supposed to have started, supposed to have finished, and if it did indeed do what I though I'd told it to. But once that's over, "silent running". This is LINUX not VMS. So I don't like you "broad brush" resulting from that single MAILTO style solution that always mail to me regardless. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
