Merci! I've been launching it with the same icon on my desktop that I've always used. If I launch it from the KDE menu, it gets me 2.0.0.13, which is the last version I actually INTENDED to install. Apparently all I need to do is replace that desktop icon with another one from the menu.
I'm not sure what the difference is, but your suggestion worked on the desktop where I tried it. It *didn't* work on my laptop, where I do most of my browsing.
I used YaST to remove Firefox, then went to the openSuSE WIKI (using Konqueror), and installed 2.0.0.13 with one-click from there.
When I went to my applications->internet-web browser menu and clicked on the Firefox icon there, beta 5 launched again. I don't know how it can do that, if it's been removed and 2.0.0.13 installed in its place.
This is the beta software that won't go away!
Understand that the package you d'ld from Mozilla DOESN'T install in the same dir. as the version from openSUSE. If it wasn't an RPM, then you have to manually remove the files.
