When I try to download files from the Gnome base packages directory on SuSE's web site, i get some files but most of them are unavailable to download.
I get this message when I try to download, e.g. Geramik. ... connection closed by remote server
What is the reason for this message in most but not all download attempts?
What can I do to get the rest of those files?
Thanks

Hi Dennis, I haven't tried to download the Gnome rpm's recently, however, i have in the past. it is my experience that I get similar messages to what you described when: a) the connection times out because of server overload b) the rpm has been removed by SuSE (it shows up on the list but they are making a "new" copy, and just haven't posted it yet.) If I try back later it is usually there. However, be carefull: several people have reported problems w/ the new Gnome rpm's... so have a back-up plan. Hope this helps, Gar __________________________________________________________________ McAfee VirusScan Online from the Netscape Network. Comprehensive protection for your entire computer.
