If I were you and frequently needed to review many of those PDFs, I would convert them into one PDF, one slip per page and then review them using okular. Mmm... that's an idea. And the result can be searched.
Well, I don't know about where your PDFs come from but most of my PDFs can be indexed by Baloo and I can find them by key phrases.
These are bank slips, emailed by the bank instead of printed and mailed as paper in envelopes. Originally they had passwords, which I removed (and stored in an encrypted disk). They are text, not scans. Per suggests that instead of having one PDF per page, I group them into one big document, which then I can view with okular and browse directly, page by page, instead of browsing with dolphin. This is a good idea, but there is a problem. Some of those documents are in fact multipage. If I group the documents for a month in a single one, I need to somehow find out which are the first pages of each original document in the joined result. Perhaps organize the index appropriately, perhaps add colour to the first page. Maybe both. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
