Why would that be? The sole purpose of the "\" is to cause a new line for the benefit of the viewer. It's removed by the shell before the command is passed to the app.
From the /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2. Note the last line and decide yourself. If you have errors after this adjustment then it is a different story
