You can always download using SHIFT+left mouse button. This way saving to disk is enforced.
Fascinating! Is there a treasure trove of documentation where tricks like that and keyboard shortcuts are described? I've been trying to find out how to perform functions with the keyboard only. I'm not handicapped or anything like that, but I find that switching my hands between keyboard and mouse is pretty stressful, and I don't want to be afflicted with carpal tunnel syndrome.
