apparently, if I use GPT, I need a special grub partition (special ID), and this can't be on lvm/raid. If so how can I have a bootable second disk? it needs to be reset for each kernel update.
That applies if Grub is in the MBR. Not if it is in a partition. And it has to be outside of LVM/Raid, yes. In the /boot partition.
Oh, no, please do not add to confusion. You are completely confused. The special partition is unrelated to /boot, it is used instead of post-MBR gap which does not (at least is not guaranteed to) exist on GPT. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
