While installing sarge and webalizer on Suse 10.0 I get error fwlsasolburg:~ # rpm -ivh webalizer-2.01-728.2.i586.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libgd.so.2 is needed by webalizer-2.01-728.2

But when I check my system it is there, fwlsasolburg:/usr/lib # locate libgd.so.2 /usr/lib/libgd.so.2 /usr/lib/libgd.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib64/libgd.so.2 /usr/lib64/libgd.so.2.0.0 fwlsasolburg:/usr/lib # ls -la /usr/lib/libgd.so.2

I assume it is looking in the wrong place for the library, where else should I create a symbolic link?

RPM is not recognising libgd.so.2 as being in its database. Did you install libgd from RPM, compile from source, or in another way? -- /Paul "It's not about the ending, it's about the journey." - Lex Luthor
