Hello:
I have this strange problem:
I have burned data onto a TDK DVD-RW by a Pioneer DVR-108 DVD writer (burned an ISO image with k3b). After burning I have checked the DVD by ejecting and reinserting the DVD: my openSUSE 10.3 system could mount the DVD. I compared the conctent of the DVD and that of the hard drive and all the files were binary equal, so the DVD is OK. On another computer (openSUSE 10.2 system) with a NEC ND- 3540 DVD writer I can't mount the DVD. The system recognizes it as a blank DVD. What can be the problem and how could I solve it? TIA, IG

What error are you getting when the DVD mount is attempted? Try wodim dev=<your DVD device name > -atip with the DVD in drive at CLI and see what you get... also try wodim dev=<your DVD device name > -prcap To find out what the device reports it is capable of doing. I have had issues with readers not identifying the FS on the media and having to force a mount with the -t option in the past. - -- ============================================================================== I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
