As for plugging a WM binary into 5.3, I second the motion, most definitely! I agree -- WM is far more configure-friendly than AS -- that is, once you adjust to the convoluted directory tree that compiling the binary leaves on the system. As far as eye-candy goes, thanks to OctoberX and the Themes.org people, my desktop is visually refreshing to an extent not possible with Enlightenment. (Note the word "refreshing" -- Enlightenment, though cool when you launch it, seems to exert a dragging effect on my brain (not to mention system) with its dark color scheme.) Still, I wouldn't mind seeing the new, started-from-scratch version of Enlightenment make its way into 5.3 -- but I doubt if developers Mandrake and Rasterman will get it out in time to burn into the CD. As for Gnome -- a definite must. Case closed. -- Glenn -- PS -- Good luck to Michael on your venture into the uncharted waters of glibc! Hang in there, man. Looking forward to the updates. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
