I feel really stupid but I have to admit I need help getting lynx to work.
I've installed it from the rpm included with 6.3. It went in just fine. When I start the program it comes up and I can read the help files and look at the lynx.cfg file.
However, I can't access any website. If I enter "lynx www.suse.com" I get a message that it is unable to access the document. Once that message disappears I get the following verbage...
Looking up www.suse.com first. Can't Access `http://www.suse.com/' Alert!: Unable to access document.
lynx: Can't access startfile

Gerry, do you need to access http pages via your ISP's proxy server? In that case you'll need to set some environment variables via yast/rc.config/ /etc/profile. Something like HTTP_PROXY ... There are dummy entries in /etc/profile, but these get overwritten by SuSEconfig with entries from rc.config.
