Most people don't need a 'strategy', they just need a workable tactic. Sadly most backup packages are strategic rather than tactical. I use a simple tactical method. I have partitions that are never more than 5G in size. That means I can burn them to a DVD. DVDs are cheap - about $05/each. You don't need high grade ones.
