After a long hiatus from SuSE with FreeBSD on my laptop, I decided to install Linux as a 2nd OS. As was always, the SuSE Professional install was very well done. I had originally had tried out Mandrake 8.2 but found that all their config utilities hung on my Vaio FX-290. One note to the SuSE team if they are listening. Please add more notes/warnings that if you are using a late model Sony laptop, to use the NOPCMCIA=yes kernel option when booting. That is the only way the computer will boot. Then later you can hack pcmcia to your heart's content. Rob.
