In earlier versions of openSUSE, if I added fonts to X11, I would place the .ttf files in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local/, and then run SuSEconfig -module fonts In 12.3 and later, this is obviously not the way to do this. So, 1. Where should the font files be placed? Assume a default X setup as done by openSUSE 12.3 or later. Is it now /usr/local/share/fonts/ ? 2. What should I run to get the fonts properly registered? Perhaps I need to add a file to /etc/fonts/conf.d/ ? As I am not wanting to define a new font location, all I really need is for the system to update the fonts found in the existing locations. I have looked at /etc/fonts/conf.d/README and /etc/fonts/conf.d/55-local.conf, but am none the wiser. The descriptions I find via Googla either reference SuSEconfig or explain how to GUI it. I need to add the fonts via a software installation script. -- Yours sincerely, Roger Oberholtzer Ramböll RST / Systems Office: Int +46 10-615 60 20 Mobile: Int +46 70-815 1696 roger.oberholtzer@ramboll.se ________________________________________ Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
