I've got a question what program generates /etc/modules.conf file? How I can regenerate or restore modules.conf file it it was corrupt?
It comes with the distro. In SuSE 7 Pro it's package aaa_base-2000.7.24-6 in series a. If you restore this clean version of the file, make sure to recreate all the changes you made to it since it was installed.
