I am using firefox 10.0.1. It just updated with apper this morning, but the problem began before the update. I was kind of hoping the update would fix it.
Try also the page http://usa.ntm.org/. That page should have several lines of text underneath the smaller pictures in the middle of the page, but on my screen only the pictures and their captions show up.
This also works for me. Please try to start firefox with -safe-mode and report back if you still have this issue. It will skip loading your addons to make sure we test Firefox w/o third party stuff.

I restarted firefox in safe mode, and it has no effect. The same page still doesn't show the text. Also in response to Dylan, When I highlight, the text does not show up. However, I hit ctrl-u to view the source, and the text body is in the source document, but for some reason it does not display.
