i think this is a "feature" - it is set up in such a way that it requires a bit of thought to send something to the list in response to a question or somesuch - this keeps the list volume of redundancy down... to reply to the list as well as the person asking the question, one simply has to use "reply all" which is a feature of most (some?) mail readers. this method does have the minor drawback of email doubling up on the original poster's end, but it's far better, in my opinion, than the list bubbling over with answers to simple questions that have been covered 4 thousand times already. my 2 cents. sent using "reply all" f // |5.0.2.1.0.20010111021852.02e2ea60@mail.claborn.net |01/01/11 3:22 AM |Jonathan Wilson <wilson@claborn.net>
On most lists when you read a posted message then hit "reply" the To: field is automatically filled in with the "list-post" address, i.e. it will be sent to the list. However whatever mailing list manager SuSE uses here fills in the reply-to address of the person who's post you're reading (as I'm sure you're all well aware of).
I find this really annoying, and several times have accidently sent things to a person instead of to the list.
Is there anyway y'all @ SuSE would please consider fixing that? I consider it a bug, not a feature :-)
Thanks,
