Ok, I found the following issues when installing Beta 3 on my Thinkpad 390X:
1. No graphical installation at all. I selected 1024x768 and got a text install. 2. No installation patterns available(known bug I believe) 3. System complained that boot loader installation failed. When I tried to correct it, and then had to hit the back button, it finished and rebooted. Which leads to the next: 4. System rebooted instead of restarting the system without a reboot as it had done in Beta2. 5. Automatic config worked fine. Detected and setup sound and X properly. 6. Network Manager still doesn't show any wireless connections when using my atheros based cards. I also tried using my Linksys WPC54G v3 card and still no available connections. I know there are at least 6 connections available from another laptop sitting beside my thinkpad.
Any suggestions? Thanx
Larry, For No. (6.) above, is madwifi installed during the 11.0 beta3 install? 23:35 Rankin-P35a~> rpm -q madwifi madwifi-0.9.3.99-36 (that 10.3, I haven't installed beta3 on the laptop yet) Also, if it is, how does your /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf compare to the 10.3 version? Just a few thoughts on the wireless issue. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
