Maybe OT: HP R3000 Expansion Base

Is this base compatible with Linux? I've searched the web and not found much. There were one or two reports on the ZD7000 Forums that say not compatible, but those were from very early in the year when all kinds of problem were reported for wifi and modem, etc. Is there any experience with this? If not, what would be a good wireless keyboard / mouse combo. My goals are to keep the unit away from environmental hazards (coffee) and not overuse the keyboard / touchpad (now that I finally have the touchpad under control and working nicely). I also want to attach a larger external monitor for graphics editing, but that's another story for another day. Thanks, Jim
