When I start openSUSE RC 1 (from live CD) my screen goes black about every four seconds, stays black for half a second and then goes back to normal. I'm using an Asus K8S-MX motherboard and it's onboard video port, with a Samsung SyncMaster 940N. Is this a known problem/bug in KDE? If not, is more info needed to fix this problem?
Thanks,

I've seen this when you over-drive monitors. Too high a sync rate or resolution or some such. Its a monitor self preservation tactic. Try dropping your resolution, number of colors, and see if it stops. If so, you might find some settings in xorg.conf that you can tweak with a little googling. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
