Hello Suse people,
A new one on me. Been using apt for several years. Downloaded an "upgrade" . Got the following message when the upgrade was to install.
Committing changes... Preparing... ########################################### [100%] installing package kernel-source-2.6.8-24.10 needs 29MB on the /usr filesystem E: Error while running transaction EasyStreet:/ #
does this mean I don't have enough space on /user ???
Well check with 'df /usr'
Hi Richard, Nope, df /usr says I've got 238 megabytes left. Besides, the only thing in /usr concerning kernel-source are docs. Surely there are not 29 megs of docs. The meat of kernel-source is found in /var which is a completely separate partition on my system. Soooooo, I still have no idea why apt tells me it needs 29 megs in /usr. Anyone ??? Any ideas ??
