Little misunderstanding here. There can be no "replacing". The people keeping KDE3 on openSUSE are a group of volunteers that want precisely to do just that, keep and maintain kde 3 in openSUSE. openSUSE simply accepts the offer, and they get some help and advise from other maintainers. Having Trinity just needs the same: a group of volunteers /adding/ it to the distribution in OBS. Once there, it can be added to the main distribution body. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
