[opensuse] VLC stopped working after latest update due to lack of mpga codec

Hi all, I have a playlist file containg my favorite online radio stations and usually listen to them with VLC. A few days ago after some update it stopped working, complaining about the lack of mpga codec. And it says there is nothing to do about it.
