Hi Steffen:-) I played with wine for a little bit, and found that it worked great for a couple of little games and whatnot, but as far as using it for any applications, I found it to be a pretty big headache. For one thing, depending on what application you are trying to run with it, you almost have to have a different "wine.conf" for each one. Then as far as anything that accesses files for reading/writing, I usually get the "share must be loaded" and then it aborts out. And I have yet to find any docs on how to go about loading device drivers of any kind? I suspect that if there was a way to load device drivers, more applications could be launched with it:-) Steffen Wittum wrote:

Hi, everyone!
Just wondering if anyone was successful with WINE. I can launch some programs but can do nothing with them: can't open/save files, or can't create a folder for example.
